Feeling Inspired

Recently I have embarked on a journey. It has incredibly inspiring to create books, actual books, that actual people are enjoying.

This is my passion. I have found that writing and publishing has brought me so much joy and fulfillment. It is constantly on my mind...

We were recently on a cruise and while sitting with my husband and soaking up the sun, I had a book idea. It is just a constant nag in the back of my mind (in a good way).

Y'all are going to love the cruise inspired books.

Here's a sneak peak.

The title is The Heavy Rain Cloud . It is going to be about a little rain cloud that was sooo heavy, but just couldn't rain. I want to provide a resource for kids that hold in their emotions. This one is probably going to be collaborated with one my dear friends who is a Social Worker and has a masters degree in counseling. This is a huge topic. When I was teaching Elementary Music, I was always looking for resources like this. So many of my kids struggled in this area, and it is a hard concept to teach. I hope to be able break it down for kids in a way that they can truly understand and apply.

I also was inspired to write one titled Make Your Own Rainbow . It is interesting how rainbows appear in the misty times. I want to make a guide for kids to build their own framework for joy by using the colors of the rainbow. Each color will be a short poem and question/instructions. I can't wait to really dig into this one. It will include scripture, in a direct opposition to what the rainbow represents in modern day culture.

I currently have The Tall Tale of the Ear of Corn, Benny the Bear and the Forest Song, I Ate Jonah, and The Song of the Cottonwood Tree available for purchase on Amazon.
